Hi everypawdy! It’s me, Bella. Today is April 11th and do you know what day it is? It is National Pet Day. This day has been founded by Celebrity Pet Lifestyle Expert & Animal Welfare Advocate “Colleen Paige” with the motto “Adopt, don’t shop.” I have been given permission by the Animal Miracle Foundation + Network to use their pretty logo for this blog:

Hi everypawdy! It’s me , Bella. A lot of my furrends have been trying to talk me into writing a book about my adventures, but *sigh* I just don’t know where to start! As the Pombassador for Southern California Pomeranian Rescue I do get to go to a lot of different places. And, I am proud to announce that I have also just won the DogTV contest for Doggy Mayor of Los Angeles! I would much rather look at pictures, however, and that seems to be easier since I can’t read anyway. So, with that in mind, I have put together some of my favorite pictures and turned them into sketches so that they can be printed up and given to children to color. Just right-click on each image and then click on print picture to print them. Here they are:
This picture was taken of me in my stroller at the airport when I went to Evansville, IN to tape the PetMeds TV commercial! You might be able to find the original color picture in my Facebook album On The Set of the PetMeds Commercial to give you a hint about the real colors. Read More »
Hi everypawdy, it’s me again, Bella! This year, National Dress in Blue Day is Friday, March 7th. It was first recognized in 2009 to bring attention to colon cancer by the Colon Cancer Alliance. It also celebrates all of those who have been affected by colon cancer, like my furrend Bill who lives across the street from me.
Hi again, everypawdy *Bella waves paw* ! It’s me, Bella!
Since yesterday was National Love Your Pet Day I thought I would go through my albums and find all the pictures that I have of me getting hugs from my pawrents. Here are some of the best hugs and cuddles that we have pictures of.
The first one is at an adoption event for Southern California Pomeranian Rescue, it was cold outside and Mommy has tucked me inside her jacket to keep me warm:
Hi everypawdy *Bella waves paw* It’s me, Bella!! It is Valentine’s Day today, and I have not just one, but FIVE great Valentine’s day tips for your pet’s safety today!
Today is a big day and sure to be a curious one for your pets because there are some new and exciting things going on all at the same time. There is sure to be candy, and lot of it. Did you know that Xylitol, a popular artificial sweetener found in candies and chewing gum for diabetics is lethal to your dog? It is also found in sugar-free candies and gums, breath mints, baked good, cough syrups, children’s chewable vitamins, mouthwash and toothpastes. It is EXTREMELY toxic to dogs even in the smallest of doses, and signs of trouble can occur as rapidly as 15-30 minutes of ingestion. Read More »
Hi again everypawdy! It’s me, Bella Pomeranian again. This January 24th I am teaming up with my furrends at PetMeds, Hill’s Pet Nutrition, rescue groups and animal shelters on a National Day to promote pet adoption. Hill’s will pay for the first ten adoptions at each of their 300 partner animal shelters across the country, and the new pet owners will receive some free Science Diet pet food. If you know of someone who is ready to add a new four-footed fur child to their family, tell them about this so they can take advantage of the additional help being offered by Hill’s.
Hello everypawdy, it’s me, Bella! Oh My Dog, do I have something really pawesome to share with you that is so fabulous that your furrends will hound you for this recipe! It is NOT for doggies or kitties, it is strictly for your pawrents and they will love you for this. This is my Auntie Joanie’s Christmas Rum Cake recipe. So, a little French lesson first–mise en place: it means get all of your stuff together all in place so you have it when you need it:
Hello everypawdy, it’s me, Bella! Oh my dog, what a busy busy time of year this is! My pawrents have put up the tree, and decorated the porch around the front door with all the festive lights, and the stockings are hung over the pellet stove with care so they won’t catch on fire and burn the house down. It has been sooooo cold here that I am wearing sweaters every day! I think I like my Reindeer Sweater the very best:
Hello again everypawdy, it’s me, Bella. I am very excited because there is a wonderful Holiday coming up near the end of this month called Thanksgiving. That is when our pawrents and relatives all get together at the home of whoever is the best cook in the family, and the Daddies all watch football on the TV and the Mommies all hang out in the kitchen fixing up the food. For those of us who are on special diets, however, we still have to be mindful of what we eat so we don’t suffer from self-inflicted injuries! Those of you who know me pawsonally also know that I am a calcium oxalate stone former and have to make sure I don’t eat anything that will give me a problem. A furrend gave Mommy The Low Oxalate Cookbook (Book Two) so whenever she wants to make something special for me, Mommy will find a recipe in it and adapt it for dogs. She has modified the recipe that is on page 100 by eliminating anything that dogs should not eat and making substitutions. Here is the recipe that Mommy has made and tested right here in the Chateau Bella kitchen of Canine Cuisine (and it is pretty doggone good): Read More »
Hi everypawdy, it’s me, Bella! I have some new wheels and I want to bark about them in this blog. Whenever Mommy takes me to a big event, I always travel in my stroller. My first stroller had a lot of miles on it, including airline miles from a couple of airplane trips–one to Evansville, Illinois to tape the PetMeds Commercial, and another to Ft Lauderdale, Florida to meet my PetMeds family! Now it is time to retire the beat up buggy so PetMeds has sent a new one: the Sport model by Pet Gear (PG8030), and it is my favorite color of pink. The box arrived and Mommy took this picture of me before it was all put together:
