Bella Goes To Bark At The Park, Lancaster CA
Last weekend was Bark At The Park, an annual City of Lancaster (CA) event to celebrate “Man’s Best Friend.” This year, for the first time, the event expanded over two days and included dog activities, community groups, vendors, raffles, shows, guest speakers, fashion parades and contests, and this year we had a special visit by the Oscar Mayer Wienermobile!!
You may remember reading a previous blog of mine about my furrend Valerie Minnis of K9 Body Shop. She did a demonstration on the Good Dog Stage and invited me to come on stage to help show the audience how to use the FitPAWS Balance Disc. Here I am on stage with Valerie and Mommy:
Southern California Pomeranian Rescue participated by having a booth there as well, and we had our rescue dogs Rocky, Harley, Hazel and SueSue there with us for people to meet. Here is a picture of our booth before it got crazy early on Saturday morning:
It got very busy later on and we had lots of people gathering around. I have a giant PetMeds box to sit on and people come to meet me and take pictures, and we are always happy to take a donation or two to benefit SCPR. I get paid in treats so I had a very full tummy by the end of both days. I am on a diet this week! You may also recall another blog that I wrote about the Canine Good Citizen test that I was preparing for. This was the big day, and I passed! Here is a picture of me right after taking the test!
I have the great fortune of knowing some pretty special Veterinarians, and they had booths at Bark as well so I just had to get pictures. If you subscribe to my facebook page or are one of my furrends, you have seen me talk about Dr. Stephanie Darrow of Southern Kern Veterinary Hospital. Here is a picture of me with Dr. Darrow:
And here is a picture of me with Dr Debbie Spencer of Quartz Hill Veterinary on the left with her dog, and me with my Mommy on the right:
This year the Oscar Mayer Wienermobile was at Bark this year. Sadly, the crew was on break when my pawrents took me over to see it, so we just had to be happy with a picture. Here is the picture of me with my Daddy and the Wienermobile:
There was another very special moment for me, and that is when I got to meet Tiffany Johnson, Miss Lancaster 2012. I just love posing with Queens wearing their lovely tiaras:
It was a wonderful weekend at Bark At The Park, the weather was just perfect and I had a very good time being with my pawrents and getting to see so many of my furrends come out to enjoy the event. A very big Thank You goes to the Bark At The Park Committee and the City of Lancaster for hosting the weekend.
