Leo is finishing up his 3rd week of staying home full time and he has fully transitioned into his new routine. Leo’s new morning routine consists of a longer walk than he used to get, which he absolutely loves. We are getting up at the same time to feed Leo at his normal feeding time and using the time it takes to commute to work to give Leo a nice, […]
Leo has been home for a full week now and he’s not happy about it. Even though he is getting the same amount of exercise every day (maybe even more), he is confused by the change in routine and unhappy about not being able to see all of his friends at work.
Although Leo’s 2nd birthday is just around the corner, he is still brimming with excitement at all times. When Leo was a puppy he went through a phase of tinkling when he was excited. Thankfully, for my carpet’s sake, he grew out of that. Now his usual form of “can’t. contain. this. excitement.” is an uncontrollable butt wiggle that is not in sync with his tail. Sometimes his excitement can […]
No matter how well we try to make it seem that everything is normal, Leo always knows when we’re about to go on a trip. Either he can understand us when we’re talking about it or he can just feel it in the air. Even though Leo has a great time with Oscar or with the other pups at daycare, being away from home and away from us is stressful […]
One of Leo’s greatest qualities is that he is so loving. He loves anyone and everyone unconditionally. I’m absolutely positive and also worried he would walk away with anyone. Nothing, except for food and squeaky toys, makes him happier than the presence of other people. At work he always enthusiastically greets anyone willing to say hi to him. Even at the park Leo makes sure to say hi to every […]
Since Leo was a little puppy one of the biggest challenges we faced daily was walking him. He was always a puller and we went through many harnesses and collars to help the situation as well as many training sessions to help the situation. About a year ago, we found a front-clip harness that worked wonders and we still use today. Walking is always a fun time for Leo and […]
There’s been a cold front moving across South Florida (lows in the high 30’s/low 40’s) and unlike the iguanas, Leo has been loving every second of it. He is so much more energetic and will tolerate longer walks. If Leo had his way, the weather would be chilly all year round. We are hoping to take him up north so he could see snow because I know he would have […]
