[New Product] Catego for Cats

Find Catego for Cats at 1800PetMeds

Fleas and ticks can find your cat at any time of year, but peak season for most of America is from July through October. Even house cats are at risk, since these tiny terrors are easily carried inside your home on shoes, clothing or items that get brought in from outside. Once in your home, an infestation may quickly erupt. Catego for Cats is a fast-acting, effective topical that combats flea and tick infestations by killing all life stages. The best news is it’s affordable and available without a prescription!

Fleas on cats: symptoms to look for

Finding fleas and ticks on your cat may be more difficult than finding them on dogs. Cat fur is often more dense and fuzzy in texture, making it easier for these tiny pests to burrow and hide. Also, since most cats self-groom regularly, it’s easy to miss the signs of a flea or tick problem. If you notice your cat is excessively scratching or chewing at certain areas like the stomach, groin, or base of the tail, fleas or ticks may be the cause. Some other signs and symptoms of a flea or tick problem include:

  • Hair loss
  • Hot spots
  • Head shaking
  • Paw chewing
  • Tiny black or red spots on the skin (flea dirt, eggs, bites)

Dangers of using the wrong flea & tick prevention on your cat

When choosing a flea and tick treatment or preventative, it is vital that you only use one that is made for cats. Some pet parents have made the mistake of assuming that they can use flea prevention for dogs in smaller doses on their cats. This can result in poisoning, which may be fatal. Some medications that are safe for dogs are toxic for cats, even in small doses.

In fact, many brands of dog flea and tick prevention state in the instructions that you must keep cats away from dogs who have been recently treated for a certain period of time. These instructions must not be ignored, as cats often lick, groom and nuzzle other pets.

Symptoms of flea and tick medication poisoning in cats include drooling, shaking/tremors, seizures, staggering, vomiting, diarrhea and/or breathing difficulties.

Catego for Cats terminates flea & tick troubles

Find Catego for Cats flea and tick prevention at 1800PetMedsProtect your cat or kitten from fleas and ticks (as well as the diseases they carry) with Catego for Cats, an over-the-counter, spot-on monthly flea treatment that’s both safe and affordable.

This easy-to-use topical flea and tick preventative is formulated specifically for cats and kittens weighing over 1.5 lbs and over 8 weeks of age. It achieves 97% efficacy in killing adult fleas within only 3 hours of application, killing all fleas, flea eggs and flea larvae within 6 hours of application.

Catego also kills all life stages of Brown dog ticks, American dog ticks, Lone Star ticks, and Deer ticks on contact. This, in turn, helps to protect your cat against tick-borne diseases such as Lyme disease, Cytauxzoonosis, Haemobartonellosis, Ehrlichiosis, Babesiosis, and Anaplasmosis.

As an added benefit, Catego for Cats kills chewing lice on cats and kittens. Chewing lice on cats may result in similar symptoms as fleas, but is not as easy to see. Therefore, Catego offers an added layer of protection that many other cat flea treatments do not.

Catego for Cats contains a powerful combination of Dinotefuran, Fipronil, and Pyriproxyfen in an easy-to-use applicator. Just apply to the skin at the base of the back of your cat’s (or kitten’s) head according to the enclosed directions. One application protects your pet for a full month. Catego is available in a 3 pack for a full 3 months’ of protection, or a 6 pack for 6 months of protection. No prescription is required to purchase Catego for Cats, so you can get started immediately.

I have 3 cats that go outside. My land is open but surrounded by woods. There are lots of deer in the woods. Fleas and ticks could become a problem if I don’t keep up with flea and tick treatment. I would like to try something new because I found my cats get immune to flea and tick treatments after awhile.

  2. My Conn man could use this. He just had to have a bath to get rid of the fleas his two sisters ( Sylvia & Macy both dogs). Shared with him because he’s an inside kitty only.

  4. I’d love to try CATEGO on my 11week old kitten “Trump”! Although he’s SUPER “ROTTEN”, lol he’s in my opinion the most adorable kitten I’ve ever seen!! (I’m a little biased though)lol He was born a barn kitten, but we adopted him and made him an indoor only cat. HE’S PART OF OUR FAMILY! ! 🙂 We also have 2 Shih Tzus named Violet, and Lilly! I’ve been using 1800petmeds for my dogs flea & tick med etc for several years. … If this CATEGO works on our kitten, I will definitely purchase more from 1800petmeds!! Thanks for the opportunity to “hopefully” win a free 3month trial for my fur baby Trump!! It’d be AWESOME to be able to actually “try out” this product to see if we like it before paying and wasting $ to find out that “it’s not for us”!! Have a great day!! 😉

  18. I just tried Catego this month and this is the best stuff I have tried for years. Not sure if my cats have built up an immunity to Advantage II due to prolonged use but with Catego I am not finding fleas on the cats when I use a flea comb a few days after application. The cats seem to have less dander and one cat does not have the lethargy that was a side effect with Advecta. Works great for my cats!
