Celebrate International Cat Day With PetMeds®!

Celebrated on August 8th, International Cat Day is a day to honor cats and raise awareness for responsible cat ownership. To celebrate, PetMeds® is giving away an International Cat Day Prize Package
International Cat Day, observed on August 8th, was first founded by the International Fund for Animal Welfare (IFAW) and now coordinated by charity International Cat Care.
The holiday is celebrated by shelters, humane societies, and other pet organizations with adoption events and fundraisers, as well as campaigns to raise awareness for responsible cat ownership.
Cat parents can celebrate their favorite feline by spending the day playing with their cat, giving them extra cuddles, or spoiling them with treats and toys.
It’s also a good time to take steps to ensure their health and happiness year-round by scheduling an annual wellness check-up, feeding a moisture-rich diet, and creating a cat-friendly home by providing enriching, vertical space in the form of shelves, cat trees, and window-facing perches.
International Cat Day coincidentally falls in the middle of the summer, which is peak kitten season in many parts of the world. Cats and kittens in shelters can be supported through donations, volunteering time, or by adopting a new four-legged family member.
Shelters are packed with kittens this time of year, so International Cat Day is the perfect time to plan a visit, fully grown and senior cats need homes too, and they’re a great match for families looking for a more independent, laid-back companion.

Rich, Obi, and I will celebrate International Cat Day with a new mouse toy! He loves it when we throw them onto his cat tree. He searches up and down for it, then brings it back to us to throw again.
I celebrate The Squeaks everyday because he is awesome and deserves all the best. I get him UTI meds and dental cleaning fluid from Pet Meds. He gets all the love from me!
I will celebrate International Cat Day by my continued study of the species in their native habitat. Much is written about breeding, showing, selling, and the like. Finding facts about the genetic/epigenetics and habits of native wildcats is more rare. Why did they adopt us? What can we learn from that big step? How best to raise wildcats for reintroduction into the wild? (N. British area?)
Must more for me to investigate.
I will celebrate international cat day by taking my cat 101 for a Sunday drive in the car and allowing him to do what he loves doing while heading down the Highway hang his head out the window allowing the wind to reshape his face and ears and join what is commonly done by canines.
George thinks everyday is International Cat Day!! He has access to his Call to the Wild Salmon Dry Cat Food at both the front and back door entrance. Then he knows that we keep his treats in the kitchen pantry and stands there in the morning until we open the door and give him some. He is one more spoiled cat at almost 12 years of age!!!
Every day is cat day in my house! But, I will celebrate with my kitties by reminding them how loved they are, giving them a special treat, and extra cuddles!
I will celebrate by loving my kitties and giving them extra loves & kisses, and donate some food & litter to my local cat shelter!
Of course, I’ll be celebrating with my two kitties…as I celebrate everyday with them. 🙂
Extra cuddles, extra play, extra treats seems like a good way to celebrate

Little Man will be spending more time in the house with me because of the hot weather and there are kittens outside that he doesn’t like being around them. The kittens mother is feral and she left them here. We took the kittens and got them fixed, now we need to catch mommy cat and get her fixed, so no more kittens.
I found my two little black kitties (brother/sister) in a parking lot almost one year ago! They will be eating top-shelf canned food to celebrate 😀
