One click can change a pet’s life
Every day, thousands of pets await adoption in shelters and animal rescues. Placing these pets in loving homes is a challenge that compassionate shelter workers and volunteers tirelessly face. When a pet with serious medical issues enters a shelter, that challenge is even greater.
With the “Change a Pet’s Life” contest, PetMeds partners with you to find pets that need the medical and surgical help that animal shelters and rescues may be unable to afford. Last year, with your help, we made it possible for an adorable, adoptable pug named Gorilla to get the much-needed medical care he needed…and a new, loving family! The PetMeds community reached out to this sweet pet in need and literally changed his life. Learn more about last year’s contest winner, Gorilla, here. This year, we invite you to participate once again in the “Change a Pet’s Life” contest.
2016 Change a Pet’s Life contest details
Who can enter?
All animal rescues and shelters throughout the United States are encouraged to enter an adoptable dog or cat in need of surgery or medical treatment. We ask that all submissions are done through the rescue group to ensure correct information, one entry per group.
Even if you are not part of a shelter, you can participate by sharing the contest with your local rescue or shelter!
The submission period will run through 11:59 p.m. ET on 1/14/16.
Voting
Voting is open to the public and starts on 1/15/16 and closes at 11:59 p.m. ET on 1/20/16. You may vote once per day throughout the voting period, so be sure to do all you can to help your favorite entrant win! Don’t forget to share the contest on your social media pages, so others can participate to help a pet in need.
Prizes
The First Place Winner will receive up to $2,000 for medical care or surgery he or she desperately needs. Second and Third Place Winners will also receive valuable contributions toward vital surgery or medical treatment.
