Help your Pet’s Anxiety with ThunderWorks

As summer commences and the 4th of July approaches, it’s important to keep your pets in mind. While 4th of July celebrations are filled with fun and happy times, for some pets, it can be anything but happy.  Pet owners whose pets have severe noise anxieties must take caution during the upcoming fireworks season.  Unfortunately, this type of phobia may not go away, and if not treated, it can get worse. Preparing your furry friend for fireworks, thunderstorms, construction noises, or other anxiety-inducing events is key to helping them feel comfortable and relaxed. ThunderWorks products like the ThunderShirt and ThunderEase are great for soothing your pet when they really need it.

Signs that your pet may suffer from noise anxiety:

During thunderstorms or firework shows, your pet may be trying to tell you they are terrified of what is happening outside. Each dog or cat has different levels of anxiety and all have different coping mechanisms. Sometimes the signs are obvious:

  • Trembling
  • Whimpering
  • Panting
  • Attempting to run away (escape) the noise
  • Barking, crying, or whining
  • Hiding
  • Pacing

Other times, their behaviors may be hard to decipher:

  • Constantly seeking your attention (or protection)
  • Inappropriate peeing or pooping
  • Excessive drooling
  • Digging
  • Chewing
  • Flatulence
  • Dilated pupils

ThunderWorks can help your pet get through 4th of July’s fireworks

It can also help your pet get through thunderstorms, construction noises, vacuums, and other loud noises. The ThunderWorks ThunderShirt almost instantly calms your dog or cat down once it is put on. It works by applying a gentle, calming pressure on your pet’s body, which gives them a secure feeling that helps calm them down. The ThunderShirt is has multiple sizes for both dogs and cats. The ThunderEssence Spray is an aromatherapy that is great for use in combination with the ThunderShirt because it gives that extra measure of calm to ensure a happy pet.

The ThunderEase Pheromone Diffuser works wonders for both cats and dogs. When plugged in, it releases pheromones that calm your pet and puts an end to any unwanted anxiety-related behaviors such as destructive chewing and problem barking in dogs and scratching and spraying in cats.

  15. I’m not sure I “own” my dog, I think he owns me. His name is Friday and I rescued him from our Pima Animal Control Center about 2 years ago. He was part of a hoarding situation. 40 dogs in a very small apartment, which is where his fear comes in. He is scared when a fly buzzes his back side, when I turn the water on in the kitchen he runs to the bedroom, he barks at everyone who is walking on “his” sidewalk, and for heavens sake don’t knock on the door. All in all, he is a wonderful guy and I just wish I could help him with his fear. Oh yeah, I forgot, he weighs about 18 pounds and not really sure what breeds he is. He is definitely a “Heinze 57”. Thanks for what you are doing.
