Help your Dog Survive Summer with Cosequin Calm

For dogs, summer can be the best time of the year with pool and beach days, extra-long evening walks, increased outside time, and more! On the other hand, summer is also filled with crashing thunderstorms, ear-splitting fireworks, endless outdoor construction, packed family parties, and extended family vacations.  These events can be stressful for some dogs, and Cosequin Calm Chewables are perfect to help keep them calm and relaxed.

Noise and separation anxieties are common sources of anxiety in dogs. A less common source of your pet’s distress is actually taking them with you on your summer road trip. Taking your dog out of its bubble of your home and neighborhood can be stressful for both you and your dog. When traveling with your beloved pup, it’s important to remember to keep them comfortable and safe throughout the trip.

Introduce the car– If your dog isn’t used to being in the car, spend a few days to a couple weeks, prior to the trip, getting him used to the car with short car rides and plenty of rewards.

Identification– Make sure your dog is wearing a collar with updated tags in case of an emergency. If they have a microchip, update that information as well.

Check with the vet– Take your pup in to make sure all vaccinations are up-to-date, and bring the records along on the trip. For an extra cushion of safety, compile a list of emergency vet clinics that will be nearby on your trip.

Tire them out– Before heading out, give your pup a good exercise session to tire them out and put them in a relaxed state. Well-exercised dogs have less pent up energy that can be translated to heightened feelings of anxiety.

Keep calm and give your pup a calming supplement– If your pet needs that extra “oomph”, give your pet a yummy Cosequin Calm Chewable, which contains calming extracts that help balance your pet’s mood and keep them calm as a clam.

Take plenty of pit stops– Give your dog plenty of water and take many pit stops so your pup can potty and stretch its legs to release any energy.

Reminder– Never, ever leave your dog in the car alone, especially in the summer!

This could really be life-changing for my Maltese mix, Sam. He’s 13 years old and suffers from severe anxiety. It’s really hard to calm him down and during the summer it gets even harder because of the extra noise/stimulus. We’ve tried so many different things to help him, maybe this (in conjunction with continuing the other therapies) could be the thing that helps alleviate his suffering.

  2. This would be nice to try. Zoey, our 6 year old rescue, flips out in the car. Sometimes she is ok and other times it’s like her first time in the car.

  3. I would love to try this product for Jake. He’s getting older and is becoming more anxious, especially with noises that are foreign to him. Thanks for the chance to win

  4. Would love to win this for my Staffordshire Titan, he’s always agitated, has anxiety all the time, scared of every little noise and hes such a beautiful boy, i want him to enjoy his life and just be a dog 😢

  5. Would love to try this for my shepherd Ziva. She gets really agitated in the car so its hard to take her anywhere. I would love to just be able to put her in the car and take her to fun places.

  6. Never tried these before – the Vet gives us these Horse Tranqualizers that just puts our dogs in stoner mode, which I hate to see them like that, sometimes they have to be sedated due to the Fireworks that goo off at the Stadium next to our House.

  7. my beagle milo’s macchiato has joint issues and he also has anxiety.I been giving him Cosequin for his joints and worked great so I love would win and try the Cosequin Calm to if it would help settle some of his nervous energy down.

  8. My dog has terrible anxiety, any loud noise or beep she shakes & pants, especially in a thunderstorm. Would love to try these so I can buy them if they work.

  9. My dog could use these for long car rides!

  10. Fanny Brice gets really nervous in storms and when there is loud construction going on. Lucy Ricardo only gets nervous when Fanny does and I sure could use some help with this. Thank you.

Would be nice to have on hand when we have to have some over 60 foot high trees removed from our yard by professionals. Lots of noise from chainsaws and lots of people in his yard that he doesn’t know. We didn’t see this year how our new dog feels about firecrackers since there was a total ban this year due to high fire danger. He does seem to have a bit of separation anxiety though as we tested that out today. We got a one-year-old (we thought min pin, but later found out it was a Manchester Terrier) from Paws For Life, a no-kill shelter.

My nervous overgrown lapdog with noise aversion could use a few doses of this

  13. Our Cane Corso is young at years and very edgy. Maybe this might help him relax.

  14. This would be great for our dog Sunny! We adopted her in Dec from the ASPCA. She seems to have some anxiety or bordem issues and tears our house apart if left alone (or when we are home). I’ve tried melatonin but it does not work for us.

  15. Hope this would help my Pitt. He hates any loud noises to the extent of hurting himself:(

  16. These might be a good thing for Sadie who gets very nervous during car rides, thunderstorms and fireworks ever since we were in a car accident. No one was injured but ever since she just shakes and hides her head. This might help her relax and get back to her normal self like she was before the accident.

  17. If i won it will be well used.

  18. My Toto gets excited every time company is here. Cosequin calm should help keep him calm and manageable!

  19. Would love to win for my dog Max. I think he would definitely take to this.

  20. 1 of my 4 dogs has anxiety, especially now that he is visually & hearing impaired. I’d love to give this a try for him

  21. Would like to try this on my new rescue to see if it helps when needed

  22. Our dog, a Beagle, is 10 now but still suffers from separation anxiety. Every time one of us even leaves the room, he howls and howls till we come back. It’s hard to leave him to go to town to shop for needed supplies because we know that he will howl. Not sure how long he does this, but even a few minutes is too long. It breaks our hearts to see and hear this. So now knowing there is a product out there to help him calm down, I would love to win a bottle of this, Cosequin Calm, to try it out. And hopefully it will work like a charm and I can use it daily on him. Thank you…..

  23. This would help all of my dogs!

  24. This would be absolutely AMAZING for when I go out of town! PICK ME PLEASE!!!
