PetMeds® Pet Medication Zubrin Discontinued

Intervet/Schering-Plough Animal Health has announced that it is discontinuing Zubrin (tepoxalin). Zubrin is still available, but once supplies are exhausted, it will no longer be available.

If your pet is taking Zubrin, now would be a good time to talk to your veterinarian about an alternate nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory (NSAID) medication.

  1. My Yorkshire Terrier will be 19 on May 29th and has been doing well, extremely well, and since putting him on another drug he is failing. I need to find a supply of Zubrin to keep him going until his end. I don’t even need a lot just some. Do you know where I could purchase a small supply. Some company must have some left. Please email me with that info. Desperate!

Hi Grace: You can try googling the product for other resources. You will have to have written script though from your vet to try and get it though.

  3. Grace – I’m in Cleveland, but my vet sells Zubrin – my dog takes it and like you said it does work – don’t know where you are but his name is Dr. Bogden and his # is: 216-731-5536 or 216-731-5563 – hope he can help.

  4. Hey Grace – We just ordered some yesterday so I don’t know how much this company may have left. The website is “Uncommon Dog”. Hope it works for you, what a great product this has been for our old girl.

Very good point. Many guardians dont remember about the importance of treating the home for fleas.
