    I have a 13-14 year old german shepard/rot…she has been showing signs of joint pain going up and down stairs…getting in my suv…so the vet put her on carprofen 75mg…I have tried other supplements with glucosamine and it makes her throw up…the vet said she is probably allergic to shellfish…is there another supplement I could try that doesn’t have glucosamine in it?

    Yes, many of the products for joint pain do contain glucosamine. However, after having a conversation with our veterinarian, we recommend using Yucca Intensive, which is a purified extract derived from the Yucca plant thought to promote symptom relief similar to steroid medications, and Proanthazone, an antioxidant which Dr. Dym has been using for over 15 years as part of a joint health protocol in pets.
