Daisy discusses birds, bees and bugs
Thursday was the first day of Spring, my favorite season. There are lots of great things about Spring: it’s not too hot and not too cold and, best of all, there are lots of birds and BUGS! Since we’re celebrating springtime, I decided to put on my fanciest feather and insect-adorned hat. It’s pretty, right?
Bugs are fun to chase, they’re crunchy, and they taste a little bit delicious. Unfortunately, it’s hard to catch bugs wearing this chapeau because I have to stand still as a statue to keep my hat balanced on my little head (but the chin-strap helps).
Even though this isn’t a bug-catching hat, I can still eat some tasty treats! Hmmm, maybe I don’t have to stand still as a statue after all…
PS: Here is an important piece of advice for all cats and dogs–stay far, far away from bugs that look like this one. They have a needle that can give you a bad sting! Also, fleas are No Good. If you pick up some fleas this Spring, ask your mom or dad to put some flea medicine on you.
i’m as big a fan of spring as anyone but i have to admit bugs are way way down on the list of things i enjoy about spring.
She is a real Spring Vision
Oh Daisy, we love your hat. We love Spring too. Fleas are the worst. Daisy you sure are looking good. And how is your handsome brother doing?? Have a good day.
Oh, have you tried one yet?
Oh thank you!
Hi Marg! The Harleymaniac is doing good. Except he DID throw up this morning.
Sage advice Daisy! Love your hat! Unfortunately, Spring is a long way off up here – we still have six feet of snow!
ALlie: *sigh* oooh Daisy that hat is DREEAMY! And yes, fleas are No Good.
Yeah, bees and fleas are no fun, but other bugs – yum!!!
Very good advice Daisy. I do not eat bugs as I am a vegetarian goat.
I hope it warms up soon where you live!
Thanks Allie. It would look pretty on you, too!
The crunchy ones are the best!
Pricilla, I’ll bet there are some delicious flowers in the springtime!

Hi Mysty! Did you know we used to live in Virginia? Only for a little over a year though.
You are always so pretty, Daisy. We tried some bugs! But they are not as much tasty as they are fun to play with. Well, till they break. Especially the ones that go tttthhhhpppptttt around on the floor! We love pouncing all over them. ….till they break.
Hugs!
Yes, bugs are so delicate, they fall apart very easily.
Hiya Daisy,
We like bugs, too! But that is some really good advice about staying away from fleas and bees … they are no good, and certainly not even a little bit tasty.
Hugs!
Moosey, Gracie and Zoe
Fleas are too small to even make a wholesome snack!
I used to like to chase butterflies. I did not eat them, though. Hee hee! 🙂
