Daisy Takes a Walk on the Outside

Look at me! Even though I am an indoor cat, today I am OUTSIDE! I got this fancy cat tunnel to try out so I can go outside but still be safe from the alligators and other dangerous outdoor things.  My Mommeh put this together for me, and it only took her about 5 minutes.  Also, it’s easy to take apart and stores flat inside a carrying pouch.

I admit that I was a little bit nervous the first day I tried it out, but mostly because it was so windy.  There is hardly ever any wind inside, even when the A/C is turned down really low. I had no idea wind was so noisy!

But guess what? When Harley tried out the tunnel he CRIED.  That’s not very manly.  Since Harley did not settle down after a few minutes, he did not get to stay outside.  I think he enjoyed watching me through the window though.

Harley is a scaredy cat

Kitties, I have to tell you something important about outdoor enclosures.  At first, I tried to see if I could get out. I poked my head and paws against the mesh.  So the important thing is to make sure your mom or dad supervises you whenever you are in the tunnel.  It is very strong so I could not escape, but I could maybe get my claw hung up in the mesh.

Cats should not be left unsupervised in an outdoor enclosure

The second day I tried the tunnel, it was still windy. My Mommeh put one of my blankets inside and I crawled right under.  I was not as scared with my blanket in the tunnel with me.

A blanket makes the cat tunnel more comfy

And the third day was sunny and I really LOVED being outside in the enclosure.  So, I would definitely recommend this tunnel for all brave cats like me.

After getting comfortable, Daisy loves her new outdoor enclosure

Here is a movie I made so you can see all the fun I had relaxing in the sunshine in my new cat tunnel!

Chey, can you believe Harley was too scared to stay outside?

  5. I can’t believe Harley CRIED in that enclosure! I don’t think any of us here would do that.

  6. Little Daisy,

Be sure Mommeh or Daddeh stays right right there with you, so they can dray you and the tunnel inside pretty quick, just in case! Those big alligators and winds make me a little scairt. Please be safe but do have a grand time. I might want to buy one for my kitties to use on the deck.

    Love always,

Theresa, you are very right! I think it is important for cats in outside enclosures to have a mom or dad close by to supervise them.
