The secret to successful New Year’s resolutions

Happy New Year! I hope your new year is off to a great start. Most of us like to begin the year by making resolutions. Unfortunately, most of those good intentions are quickly kicked to the curb because the resolutions are just too darn hard to keep. Do not worry, I have a solution! If you want to stick to your resolutions throughout the year, you just have to choose the right resolutions. You might be thinking, “Daisy, what are the correct resolutions?” I’m here to help!

You know all the usual resolutions to exercise more, get in shape, lose weight? Forget those! You have to make resolutions that will be fun to keep. Tops on my list of resolutions: Get more lap/cuddle time. You might think that this is a self-serving resolution, but you would be wrong. I’m actually making this resolution to help my Mommeh–I swear it’s the truth! Studies have shown that when people interact with pets, it can reduce their stress and depression, lower blood pressure, improve cardiac health, and researchers have even found that cat owners have fewer strokes than people without cats. No need to thank me for helping.

Next on my list of resolutions for 2016 is to eat more treats. I’m pretty sure this is a resolution that I will be able to stick with throughout the year, if I try my hardest.

I have an entire list of treats I would like to eat this year, but today I’m starting off with these Greenies SmartBites. This Digestive Care one is supposed to improve my digestion. Plus, since they’re called SmartBites, I am pretty sure they will make me smarter, too. Getting smarter is a great resolution!

Harley will never change

I hope these ideas are enough to get you started on your own resolutions for 2016. In case you’re wondering what Harley’s New Year’s resolution is, he has promised to continue being a maniac. And yes, he has also wisely chosen a resolution he can stick to throughout the year.

What resolutions are you making for 2016?
